Four OSU Organic Extension Faculty Positions Announced

The Organic Agriculture Program at Oregon State University is pleased to announce a cluster hire of four new Extension faculty positions specializing in organic, regenerative, and low input farming. 

These statewide Extension positions will work as a collaborative team with the current Organic Vegetable and Organic Pasture and Forages specialists—and in partnership with farmers across Oregon—to create leading edge educational programs and applied research for farmers of all scales and approaches to farming. The positions are permanently funded with the opportunity to be promoted through academic ranks. 

The Organic Agriculture Program is part of the Center for Small Farms and Community Food Systems, a transdisciplinary farm and food systems hub in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Oregon State University. Cooperating on the hiring process are the Center, the Department of Crop & Soil Science, and the Department of Horticulture.

Successful candidates will value working in a collaborative team setting, have experience with outreach and applied research working with farmers and organizations that support farmers, and have strong disciplinary credentials and knowledge of organic and regenerative farming practices.
